Today's Environmental tip in honor of Earth Week focuses on the letter "H" for help. Solving worldwide problems requires the help of everyone. All of our individual actions add up, and our individual choices as citizens and consumers can cause changes in what products are made and how they are produced and disposed of. Lastly, at the end of this Earth week we invite you to get outside and do something for not only our local environment but our planet! Whether that is picking up trash in your neighborhood, planting a tree, or changing how you use and purchase the things you need, you can do your part! In that spirit, join us for a campus cleanup (weather permitting) by getting a blue trash bag by the front doors during the second shift of Power Hour today! Thank you for any commitment you can make to make our world a better place!
A reminder that the final day to order and pay for a 2023-2024 yearbook is TODAY. The cost is $65.00 and payment can be made in the main office. Check your PowerSchool Balance page or contact Mrs. Steffy to see if you have purchased a yearbook.
A reminder to please bring your cans and bottles to the 525 Robotics Spring Can and Bottle Drive tomorrow, Saturday, April 27, from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm in the North parking lot at the high school.
A reminder that SAGA's last meeting for the year is today!
A reminder that tickets for "After Prom" at the UNI WRC will be available starting this Monday, April 29 during Power Hour as well as after school in the auditorium lobby. The cost of tickets is $10.00. Ticket sales will continue daily before school, during Power Hour, and after school through May 10. Forms of payments accepted include cash, or a check written out to "Parents Who Care".
Follow the Tigers: Varsity Track and Field are at Drake Relays in Des Moines; JV Girls' Golf will begin at 3:15 pm at Pheasant Ridge; JV Boys' Tennis will begin at 4:00 pm at Byrnes Park; JV Girls' Tennis will begin at 4:00 pm at the UNI Tennis Complex; JV 1 Girls' Soccer will begin at 4:30 pm at the Cedar Valley Soccer Complex; SATURDAY: Varsity Track and Field will be at Drake Relays in Des Moines; the Iowa High School State Fishing championship will begin at 7:00 am; Varsity Girls' Tennis will begin at 8:00 am and 12:00 pm at the UNI Tennis Complex; Varsity Boys' Tennis will begin at 8:00 am and 12:00 pm at Iowa City High.
